Community Newsletter August 2024

Good Morning,

Building works

Please could I remind owners that do not do building works in JUNE JULY & AUGUST this is so we do not disturb neighbours and holiday makers out for their summer breaks

Map by Petanque court

I have managed to get a new map to replace the worn/unreadable map. I have put before and after pictures on the website under Community Improvements

Electrical Box

We have now had the electrical box replaced in Calle Casals. I have put pictures on the website under Community Improvements.

Swimming Pool Waterfall

We have also had damaged to the waterfall in the swimming pools due to children climbing up the rocks and they have now come loose and fallen off. The children were told to stop but took no notice and when the parents were told they left the pool area. UNFORTUNATLY we do not know where they were staying so this will be a cost to the community to repair. Picture attached.

Please can I remind all owners the waterfall is not there to be used as a climbing wall?

Swimming Pool Attendant

There have been a number of comments about people leaving towels to reserve their sunbeds while away from the pool. I have spoken with a number of other communities which all have similar issues. Communities which employ Lifeguards where required by law do not enforce the pool rules. They are there to save lives, and when a company supplies someone just to enforce the rules would cost approximately. €9,000 for 2 months is unjustifiable.

If you rent your property, it must be made clear as part of the rental agreement with your clients. All owners receive a copy of the Pool rules when purchasing a property.

Surely it must up to all owners to share responsibility to maintain the pool area and the rules and should not be left to one person.

We have a lovely pool area and using it should be a pleasurable experience if everyone plays their part.

Kind Regards Mark & Committee
