Rewiring

I spoke to Jamie, the community electrician today. He has almost finished stage 3.

The hold up was because up to 10 lamps could not be rewired because of the condition of the lamps and lamp holders. We can leave some with boxes on them and replace some but he didn’t want to go ahead and increase the costs above the quotation without permission. He will give us a price per unit and walk me through the area so we don’t have consecutive lamps out.
I don’t want to spend money on replacing all the affected lamps until we have had stage 4 done as agreed at the AGM.

Jamie will let me know whether stage 4 ( rewiring the other side of the stream where lamps are connected to owners’ supplies) can be completed In the next few weeks but it is a more complicated job. I have told him if his commitments don’t allow completion before UK school holidays I would rather it be his first job in September. That way it will be done before winter but he will not be doing work and exposing wiring during the busy season.
